QBS AG was founded by a renowned family office, which had previously advised cryptocurrency founders with the ambition to establish a bank and an exchange. Under the leadership of CEO Akin Båmstedt, a milestone was achieved shortly after the company's inception, aiming for improved asset management and oversight. Following an investment from venture capital firm CB GER Venture, the company was officially incorporated in Bremen, Germany, as a public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft, AG).
QBS AG expanded its office space and relocated near the Bremen Airport. The development of the exchange was completed. Global subsidiaries were established to position the company internationally with various licenses. QBS AG's solutions are now utilized by entities in the blockchain and FinTech/banking sectors.
QBS AG, now a toolbox for the financial industry, oversees global projects. The company has since entered into a partnership with WLA Group GmbH and employs 70 developers.
